Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift - 36 hours per week - Full time - 3C Medical Stepdown - Sign On Bonus!!

About the role

Christiana Care Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to work 36 hours per week on the Night Shift (7p‑7a) at Christiana Hospital on the 3C Medical Unit Stepdown (Progressive Care Unit). The unit recently earned the AACN Beacon Award for Excellence (Silver 2022‑2025). You will deliver holistic, patient‑ and family‑centered care, provide medication and disease‑process education, monitor patients, manage emergencies, and assist with a 4‑5 patient assignment. You will care for patients with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, COPD, acute renal failure, GI bleed, DKA, sepsis, and others, using skills in telemetry monitoring, non‑ventilator‑dependent trach collar, high‑flow nasal cannula, wound care, and more.

Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic, patient‑ and family‑centered care.
• Provide education related to medications and disease processes.
• Closely monitor patients and manage any emergencies that may arise.
• Assist in managing a 4‑5 patient assignment.
• Care for patients with diagnoses including respiratory failure, COPD, acute renal failure, GI bleed, DKA, sepsis, and others.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring, non‑ventilator‑dependent trach collar, high‑flow nasal cannula, wound care, and related skills.

Requirements

• BSN required (ADN candidates must commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire).
• Minimum one year of experience; acute or sub‑acute care experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
