Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift - 24 hours per week - Part time - 3C Medical Stepdown

About the role

This is an opportunity to work on the Night Shift (7p-7a) at Christiana Hospital's 3C Medical Unit Stepdown, part of the 3C Medical Stepdown team. The unit has been recognized with the AACN Beacon Award for Excellence: Silver 2022-2025.

Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic patient care that is patient and family centered to ensure patient comfort and positive outcomes by providing education related to medications and disease processes.
• Closely monitor patients and manage any emergencies that may arise.
• Assist in managing a 4-5 patient assignment.
• Provide care for a range of diagnoses including Respiratory Failure, COPD, Acute Renal Failure, GI Bleed, DKA, Sepsis, and others.
• Care for acutely ill and complex patients, proficient in telemetry monitoring, non-ventilator dependent trach collar and High Flow Nasal Cannula management, wound care, and more.

Qualifications and Experience

• BSN required, or ADN with a commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire.
• One year experience in acute care or subacute care preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Pay

The hourly pay range is $41.28 - $66.05. The actual salary offered will depend on individual factors including skills, relevant experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

Typical shift is 7p.m. - 7a.m., with holidays and weekends per the guidelines of the department.
