Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift - 30 hours per week - Part time - 3C Medical Stepdown

Christiana Care Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to work 30 hours per week on the Night Shift (7p-7a) at our Christiana Hospital on the 3C Medical Unit Stepdown. Weekend and holiday shifts are required per department guidelines.

About the Unit

3C Medical Unit Stepdown recently received the AACN Beacon Award for Excellence: Silver (2022-2025). This award recognizes units that set the standard for excellence in patient care environments by using evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. The unit cares for a range of diagnoses, including Respiratory Failure, COPD, Acute Renal Failure, GI Bleed, DKA, Sepsis, and others. Nurses on this unit are highly skilled in managing acutely ill and complex patients, including telemetry monitoring, non-ventilator dependent trach collar and High Flow Nasal Cannula management, and wound care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic, patient- and family-centered care, including education on medications and disease processes.
• Closely monitor patients and manage emergencies as they arise.
• Manage a 4-5 patient assignment.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide safe, quality care.

Requirements

• BSN required. ADN candidates must commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire and will be considered with relevant experience.
• At least one year of experience in acute care or sub-acute care (preferred).
• BLS certification required.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $41.28 - $66.05. The actual salary within this range will depend on individual factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications.

• 30 hours per week.
• Night shift: 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
