Registered Nurse (RN) - Full Time - 36 hours per week - Night shift 3D Transitional Medical (Stepdown) Unit

Responsibilities

• Utilize critical thinking and clinical expertise to assess, plan, and deliver individualized care to an adult patient population with a respiratory focus.
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary team including nursing, social work, pharmacy, respiratory therapist, hospitalists, and consultants such as Pulmonologists, Nephrologists, Cardiologists, and Infectious Disease.
• Care for a range of diagnoses including ventilator dependent respiratory failure, COPD, Pulmonary Hypertension, Acute Renal Failure, GI Bleed, DKA, Sepsis, and many others.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care that is patient and family centered to ensure patient comfort and positive outcomes by providing education related to medications and disease process.
• Closely monitor patients and manage any emergencies that may arise.
• Assist with the transition of patients to the appropriate level of care once stabilized.
• Average 3-4 patient assignments per shift.

Qualifications & Experience

• BSN required, ADN candidates considered with a 3-year BSN completion commitment.
• Minimum one year of experience required (acute or sub-acute preferred).
• BLS certification required.

Pay

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05
