About the Role
In collaboration with the physician and your preceptor, you will ensure implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population. This role focuses on individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.
Responsibilities
- Initiate an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of patients and families.
- Interpret assessment data and information to develop a nursing care plan, including problem identification, nursing diagnosis, nursing orders, approaches, interventions, short/long-term goals, and discharge planning.
- Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
- Ensure documentation in the medical record is complete, factual, accurate, and timely.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing.
- Valid State RN License is required (applicants may apply before being licensed but must have a license upon start date).
- BLS certification required at hire.
- Flexibility in scheduling to complete the requirements of the program.
*Post offer employment testing (POETs) is completed as part of the onboarding process before the first day of work.
