Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Unit - Night Shift
About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) for the 5N Medical Telemetry Unit at Christiana Care Wilmington Hospital. Assists in managing 5 medical patients per shift, working with an interdisciplinary team including a unit-based Nurse Practitioner, attending and consulting physicians, a pharmacy, a physical therapist, and other assistive personnel. Delivers care supporting adult patients facing acute illnesses.
Responsibilities
- Assists in managing 5 medical patients per shift
- Works with an interdisciplinary team including a unit-based Nurse Practitioner, attending and consulting physicians, a pharmacy, a physical therapist, and other assistive personnel
- Delivers care supporting adult patients facing acute illnesses
- Maintains function, provides education, and maintains safety for patients with various diagnoses affecting all systems
- Engages in a relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients, families, and peers, guided by values of love and excellence
Requirements
- Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware
- BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date
- One year of experience as an RN is required
- One year of medical-surgical experience as an RN is preferred
- BLS required
Qualifications
- Education: BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date
- Experience: One year of experience as an RN is required. One year of medical-surgical experience as an RN is preferred

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical telemetry and related patient care

Pay
Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05
Schedule
Night Shift (Hours: 7p-7a) - Holidays and Weekends - per the department guidelines
