Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver patient care.
• Serve as primary nurse when needed.
• Educate patients and families.
• Administer medications safely.
• Support resource management.
• Adhere to standards and policies.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review.
• Mentor new staff.
• Engage in continuing education.
• Perform additional duties to ensure safe, effective care.

Qualifications & Skills

• Compassionate, patient‑centered, adaptable, and team‑oriented.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Committed to clinical excellence and ongoing professional growth.
• Current NY State RN license.
• Preferred BSN and clinical experience in acute or ambulatory settings.
• Certifications such as CCRN, ACLS, PALS, or TNCC are advantageous.

Work Environment

Fast‑paced unit with direct patient contact across all age groups. The role requires walking, standing, bending, and lifting; use of personal protective equipment; exposure to cleaning solutions; and working near others in a climate‑controlled space.
