Join our team is a Registered Nurse Medical Surgical RN where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
- Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's degree in nursing required, bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current RN license in state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
Additional Information
Exposure: Regular occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.
Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
