Location: Utica, NY
Shift: Night (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week contract
About the role
Provide direct patient care in a 56-bed adult Med-Surg/Oncology unit that treats patients with oncology, hematology, GI, endocrine, nephrology, and general medical conditions. Floating within the unit is required; no on-call shifts.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient conditions and vital signs
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy
- Operate common equipment such as IV pumps and NG tubes
- Document care in EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience (Oncology experience preferred)
- Travel-nurse experience required
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Chemotherapy certification
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
