Role Overview
Provides comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, focusing on developing and implementing individualized care plans, coordinating with healthcare team members, and supporting residents' physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating care plans effectively.
- Developing nursing diagnoses and establishing care objectives.
- Teaching residents and families about health conditions, medications, and self-care.
- Monitoring and evaluating resident progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Maintaining a safe environment by adhering to infection control and medication protocols.
- Managing resident care equipment and supplies.
- Cooking and organizing workflow for nursing staff.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Effective communication, visual acuity, and sound judgment.
- Preferred 1-3 years of clinical or long-term care experience.
- Ability to work night shifts and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
