About the role

Provides comprehensive nursing care in a long-term care setting, focusing on developing and implementing individualized care plans, delivering physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews physician prescriptions and communicates care plans
  • Coordinates with the healthcare team to ensure integrated resident care
  • Educates residents and families on health conditions and self-care techniques
  • Evaluates and modifies care plans based on changing resident needs
  • Maintains safety and infection control standards
  • Manages care equipment and supplies
  • Oversees admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Supervises nursing staff workflow
  • Maintains professional competence through ongoing education and training

Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of practice
  • Preferred 1-3 years of clinical or long-term care experience
