About the Role
This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to residents by developing individualized care plans, administering medications, and evaluating health outcomes. The nurse collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team, offers emotional and spiritual support, and educates residents and families on health conditions and self-care. Ensuring a safe environment, maintaining equipment, managing supplies, and coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers are key responsibilities. The role also includes supervising nursing staff and maintaining adherence to safety and legal standards.
Responsibilities
- Review physician prescriptions and communicate care plans
- Develop and evaluate nursing care plans based on resident assessments
- Provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents and families
- Ensure safety, infection control, and proper use of equipment and supplies
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers, and supervise nursing staff
- Maintain documentation and compliance with healthcare standards and regulations
Requirements
- Active RN license in the practice state
- Visual acuity and effective communication skills
- Ability to work varied shifts and communicate effectively
- Commitment to teamwork, confidentiality, and organizational standards
Qualifications
- Preferred 1-3 years of clinical or long-term care experience
