About the Role
Provides comprehensive nursing care in a long-term care setting, developing care plans, delivering physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support, and coordinating with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Review physician prescriptions, communicate care plans, and collaborate with healthcare providers.
- Develop and evaluate nursing care plans based on patient assessments, histories, and social factors.
- Educate residents and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
- Maintain a safe environment by following infection control, medication, and safety protocols.
- Manage resident care equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness and proper maintenance.
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers, and supervise nursing staff workflow.
- Uphold compliance with legal, safety, and organizational standards.
Requirements
- Valid RN license.
- Effective communication skills.
- Visual acuity and ability to work collaboratively.
- Preferred: 1-3 years in clinical or long-term care.
