About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care in a long-term care setting, including developing care plans, administering treatments, and supporting residents physically, emotionally, and psychologically.

Responsibilities

  • Review physician prescriptions and communicate care plans to the healthcare team.
  • Develop and adjust nursing care plans based on residents' histories, conditions, and needs.
  • Educate residents and families on health, medications, and self-care.
  • Monitor and evaluate resident progress, modifying care as needed.
  • Maintain a safe environment by following infection control, medication, and safety protocols.
  • Manage resident care equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness and proper functioning.
  • Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Supervise and plan workflow for nursing assistants and staff.
  • Maintain competence and adhere to legal, safety, and organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to assess and respond to resident needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of clinical or long-term care experience.
