Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Behavioral Health

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Collaborate across disciplines for patient transfers, admissions, discharges, and psychosocial support.
• Educate patients and families tailored to their age, culture, and condition.
• Delegate tasks to ancillary staff and precept students or new hires as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of three years of acute care RN experience with behavioral health patients.
• Valid RN license or ability to obtain one in Maine.
• BLS certification; MOAB preferred.
• Demonstrates flexibility, critical thinking, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
• Committed to ongoing learning and professional development.
