This is a Full-time, 36 hour/week, Day shift position.

Unit Bio

The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit is a 13 bed, locked unit that provides a 24 hour treatment program designed to provide care for adults ages 18-95 in acute psychiatric crisis. The multidisciplinary team treats individuals experiencing major mental illnesses and addiction related problems. The program includes voluntary and involuntary levels of care. Our team of mental health professionals plan and work together with the patient to provide psychiatric care, medical treatment, support, referral for follow-up care, and opportunities for learning and emotional growth.

About the Role

The MH Registered Nurse RN I role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care. The MH Registered Nurse RN II role is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
  • One year of recent RN experience required.
  • Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

Pay

  • RN I: $35.61 per hour
  • RN II: $37.09 to $50.17 per hour
  • Compensation for part-time positions determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
