About The Intensive Care Unit

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a specialized section of our hospital that provides comprehensive and continuous care for critically ill patients. Montrose Regional Health's ICU combines advanced healthcare technology with a highly qualified and trained staff to manage critical care needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the plan of care, providing direct age-appropriate nursing interventions and patient education.
• Collaborates with ancillary, nursing, and other patient team personnel.
• Directs the team of CNAs, LPNs, and Ward Secretaries.
• Works under the supervision of the nurse manager and/or house supervisor.

Requirements

• Current Colorado or compact state RN license or ability to become licensed.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's, Associate, or Diploma in Nursing.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 9 months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC certifications highly recommended.
