Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU - Part Time - Nights

About the role

This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a 32-bed ICU, managing critically ill patients with complex conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, renal failure, and severe cardiac issues. The RN collaborates with a dedicated stroke unit and handles life-support systems including ventilation and cardiac monitoring. The role emphasizes empathy, strong communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments of patient health, involving patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Develop nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes based on assessments.
• Implement and coordinate evidence-based nursing interventions to meet patient needs.
• Evaluate patient outcomes, recognizing problems through critical thinking and current knowledge.
• Determine discharge needs and utilize resources for optimal patient transition.
• Maintain professional nursing practice standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma, ADN required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred; equivalent education and experience accepted.
• Current Oklahoma RN license and BLS certification required.
• New graduates must complete a nurse residency program.
