About the role

The role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) Assistant Manager in the ICU, responsible for supporting daily operations, clinical oversight, staff development, and ensuring high-quality patient care in a 42-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities

• Managing staff hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development
• Overseeing patient care plans, documentation, and clinical interventions
• Coordinating staffing needs, schedules, and overtime management
• Ensuring department productivity aligns with operational goals
• Participating in budget development and adherence
• Supporting a collaborative, positive work environment with strong communication and leadership skills
• Ensuring safety-sensitive operations, requiring alertness and adherence to safety protocols

Qualifications

• BSN
• RN license
• 2+ years RN experience
• Leadership and ICU experience preferred
