Registered Nurse (RN) / Heart & Vascular ICU
About the Role
The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team and is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients, families, and significant others.
Schedule
Full Time, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 72 hours per pay period.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards for a caseload of patients within the scope of care for the Heart & Vascular ICU.
- Coordinate and direct care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
- Ensure compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards, and institutional policies.
- Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients, families, and significant others.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Valid Ohio RN license.
- 1 year of current ICU or Emergency Department RN experience.
