Registered Nurse - ICU CardioVascular

About the Role

This position involves providing independent and comprehensive nursing care in a clinical setting, addressing patients' physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs. The nurse utilizes the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—to deliver routine and complex care, including medication administration, monitoring, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient history, symptoms, and treatments.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for effects.
• Delegate tasks to care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers, identifying needs and resources.
• Meet competency standards and participate in ongoing training and certifications, including BLS and ACLS.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a related specialty preferred; new graduates considered.
• Current RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS certification required.
• Ability to handle complex clinical situations and adapt to contingencies.
• Strong communication and assessment skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
