About the role

Haven Behavioral Healthcare, an Oceans Healthcare Company, seeks a Registered Nurse to lead milieu management and direct patient care activities. The position requires a current, active RN license and one year of inpatient hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation
• Identifies risk levels, precautions, and expected outcomes
• Administers medications safely
• Reviews, revises, and updates medical records
• Communicates with staff and patients to ensure continuity of care
• Floats among various clinical services

Requirements

• Current, active RN license
• One year of inpatient hospital experience
• Valid Compact license acceptable
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
• Ability to adapt to a high-stress environment
• Effective communication skills
• Understanding of normal physical and emotional development
• Critical thinking and self-confidence
• CPR certification and behavioral health de-escalation program completion
