Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administers medications safely and educates patients on their prescribed medications.
• Reviews and updates medical records accurately and documents care thoroughly.
• Communicates patient needs to staff and ensures continuity of care.
• Delegates tasks appropriately and assists staff and patients.
• Floats among various clinical services and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt to a high-stress environment and assess patient risks.
• Effective communication skills, including oral and written.
• Understanding of normal physical and emotional development.
• Self-confidence and ability to lead and direct others.
• CPR certification and completion of an Oceans-approved behavioral health de-escalation program.
