Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources
• Perform Charge Nurse duties if ACLS certified
• May perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates
• Current BLS certification (AHA approved within 90 days of employment)
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment (AHA approved)
• Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses

Qualifications

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
