REGISTERED NURSE (RN) FT DAYS

About the role

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking Full Time Registered Nurses, RN for Days with ICU/Step-down experience. The role involves working in a long-term acute care setting, managing complex medical needs, and providing direct and indirect patient care.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with physicians, CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
• Manage medical conditions such as respiratory failure requiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula.
• Handle complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics.
• Treat chronic non-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequent dressing changes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute care experience is preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.
