Registered Nurse (RN) - Freestanding ER
About the role
Abrazo West Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit. This role delivers individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside care in alignment with the nursing process and patient needs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care planning and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical leader by assessing, planning, delegating, and exercising independent judgment in directing other healthcare staff to provide safe, effective care.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, supporting patient goals, and ensuring safety guidelines and work practices.
- Promote safe and efficient patient throughput in a high-volume acute care setting to optimize workflow and daily operations in a procedure-driven facility.
- Direct patient care, participate in hourly rounding, and supervise healthcare team members.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: 1 year of acute care experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit.
- Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Certification: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona, BLS, ACLS (required at time of hire).
Preferred Requirements
- Experience: 2 years of acute care experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit.
- Education: BSN.
- Certification: PALS, CEN, TNCC.
