Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool - Night Shift

About the role

The Float RN provides patient-centered care across 65+ inpatient units in a busy hospital setting, supporting diverse patient populations and specialties. This full-time role involves working 12-hour night shifts, with additional compensation through shift and float differentials. Nurses float to various units, including high-acuity areas for those with ICU experience, ensuring flexible staffing to meet patient needs and promote quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient needs
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans
• Educating patients and families
• Participating in safety, quality, and regulatory activities

The role emphasizes clinical judgment, adaptability, communication, and independent work in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• At least 2 years of recent acute Medical‑Surgical nursing experience
• Preferred: ICU/critical care experience and BSN or enrollment in a BSN program
• Strong clinical skills, judgment, and communication

Schedule

Full‑time position with 12‑hour night shifts.
