About Our Team
Our growing community prompted a full renovation of the Emergency Department to better serve our patients and care teams. Highlights include:
- 31-bed Emergency Department
- 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for acute patients
- Specially designed behavioral health safe rooms
- Care for patients across the lifespan with a wide range of medical emergencies
- Designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
How You'll Contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
- Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
Qualifications
- Current RN VA or compact state license
- Associate's degree in nursing
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) within 6 months
- Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association, preferred
- Experience in acute care hospital, preferred

Pay
Hourly range - $33.19 - $44.81 per hour
