Responsibilities
- Utilizes specialized plan-of-care intervention and serves as a patient-care innovator.
- Shapes exceptional patient journeys every day and leverages skills and cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
- Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Works flexible shifts or units as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A current state RN license.
- A bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Achieved ACLS, BCLS, PALS certifications.
- NIHSS test completed within 90 days of hire.
- 1 to 3 years of RN Emergency Department experience.
