Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department - Per Diem

About the role

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department Level I role, focusing on patient care coordination, assessment, and clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Leading interdisciplinary care planning and ensuring documentation of patient care and education.
• Performing comprehensive assessments, initiating discharge planning, and modifying care plans based on patient progress.
• Providing direct, patient-centered care utilizing evidence-based practices, and ensuring a safe environment.
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members while respecting diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrating leadership by mentoring staff, participating in quality improvement, and assuming charge nurse duties.
• Maintaining professional competencies, adhering to policies, and supporting the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Valid NY State RN license and registration.
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in Emergency Department.
• Basic proficiency in data systems and effective communication skills.
• Mandatory certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and infection control training.
