Registered Nurse (RN) - DOU - Direct Observation Unit - $33-45 per hour

About the role

HealthPark Medical Center, a Magnet Hospital, has a full-time RN opportunity in their Cardiac Observation Unit. This is a fast-paced, high-volume unit and the ideal RN will have a strong cardiac background. Strong critical thinking, time management, and prioritization skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Safe delivery and documentation of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Support the organization's vision and mission.
• Provide care that considers the patient's age and cultural diversity.
• Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. Associates or Bachelors preferred.
• Experience: Experience required. Competency assessment successful completion required.
• Certification: Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. ACLS certification may be required for some units.
• Licenses: Currently licensed in the State of Florida.
• Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required. Specialty certification in the area preferred.
