Position Purpose

The Congestive Heart Failure Unit at Saint Francis Hospital provides care to adults with various medical diagnoses, including cardiac conditions such as AFIB, CAD, STEMI, pacemaker, ICD placements, and soon LVADs. The unit is a nationally recognized Center of Excellence for Heart Failure.

Description

Primary patient diagnosis on this unit is acute or chronic CHF.

  • Part of a collaborative team
  • Play an active part in unit shared decision making
  • Enjoy practice autonomy using nurse-driven protocols

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
  • Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut
  • BLS (AHA/ARC) certification

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
  • Acute care, Medical-Surgical, Congestive Heart Failure experience preferred
  • ACLS certification preferred

Work Schedule

Full Time - 36 Day Shift Every other Weekend/Holiday
