Job Description Summary

The Registered Nurse at Singing River Health System is responsible for providing patient care utilizing the Nursing Process. They must be educated in nursing and licensed to practice in Mississippi. Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC depending on the specialty area. Experience in inpatient settings is preferred, with a minimum of one year within the last five years.

Education and Licensing

• Graduate from an NLN School of Nursing
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi

Experience

• A minimum of one (1) year of inpatient clinical experience, preferred

Physical Demands

• Moderately active work involving sitting and moving around the office and facility
• Exerting a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or operate standard office equipment
• Using many physical motions and repetitive motions
• Exposure to body fluids, sputum, and tissues that may carry infectious diseases

Mental Demands

• Demonstrate keen mental faculties and assessment and decision-making abilities
• Show superior communication and writing skills
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Maintain collaborative and respectful working relationships

Special Demands

• Possess superior customer service skills and professional etiquette
