Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Educator

Responsibilities

• Determines educational needs based on team member input, physician feedback, performance improvement activities, variance report tracking, advances in clinical knowledge and practice.
• Captures and coordinates unit educational activities to meet the assessed needs for team member development.
• Plans and performs new team member orientation, education and training on new technology/protocols, as well as ongoing in-service education.
• Functions as a unit-based clinical expert.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing; BSN required, MSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Missouri required.
• 5 years' experience in related field.
• Basic Life Support Instructor, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, and/or TNCC Instructor Certification in an Advanced Nursing Skill (Specialty area in which you will be working).

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of regulatory agency requirements.
• Familiar with basic nursing performance standards as outlined in the Missouri Nurse Practice Act.
• Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook.
