About the Role
The RN Clinical Periop Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care within an interdisciplinary team in a clinical environment supported by leadership and evidence-based practices. They ensure compliance with professional standards, uphold the scope of nursing practice, and advocate for patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based standards.
- Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive, patient-centered care that involves patients and their families in the care process.
- Coordinate safe, quality care through effective communication, documentation, and teamwork; support performance improvement initiatives and shared governance.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and promote evidence-based practice and research.
- Adhere to policies, procedural standards, and safety goals, contributing to optimal patient outcomes and resource management.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (single or multi-state license).
- Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
