Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health
About the role
As a Behavioral Health RN at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center, you will be part of a team dedicated to improving mental health in the community. You will provide direct patient care, document patient care, monitor patient conditions, assist with daily living activities, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
- Performs interventions as part of the plan of care, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
- Documents patient care accurately and promptly.
- Maintains patient safety and monitors patient condition.
- Aids patients in performing activities of daily living.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides appropriate education.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or a compact state.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
