Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Surgical Unit (ASU)
About the Role
Responsible for providing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other standards established by professional groups and regulating bodies. Nursing care is delivered following ECU Health and entity-specific nursing policies, procedures, and professional standards of care/practice.
Responsibilities include the provision and coordination of nursing care, collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes, and development of a plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team members. The role involves identifying interventions, implementing the care plan, evaluating patient progress, and documenting outcomes, with sensitivity to age-specific and unique patient/family needs.
Promotes and evaluates the effective functioning of the healthcare team, collaborates with team members to meet patient/family needs throughout the episode of care, and delegates tasks as appropriate under the NC Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements
- Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Pay
Pay range for Staff Nurse II: $38.40–$52.80 per hour. Final compensation will be based on career ladder placement.
Schedule
0.50 FTE (24 hours per week), Monday–Friday days, including some holidays and some Saturday shifts. Night shift required.
