Registered Nurse RN Ambulatory Gastro- PT - Detroit- 2 years RN exp

Part-time, day shift position (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) with 3 flexible 8-hour shifts per week. No weekends or on-call required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the endoscopy unit and GI clinic, managing patients preparing for endoscopy procedures.
• Manage patients with PEG tubes.
• Handle general clinic responsibilities, including in-basket management and scheduling.
• Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching.
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of ambulatory/clinic or inpatient RN experience.
• Experience in GI/Gastro/Endoscopy or teaching/educating patients on PEG tube management.
• Must be organized, a self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively with teams, and skilled at multitasking.
• EPIC experience is required.
• BSN preferred; graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services and communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
