Registered Nurse ( RN ) - 7th Floor Cardiac/Renal/Med Surg

Full-time, 12-hour night shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., 72 hours per pay period, every other weekend, and rotating holidays in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care.
• Facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.
• Become familiar with hospital and department policies and procedures, accepted methods of requisitioning ancillary department services, and the medical staff (typically acquired through 1–3 months of orientation).
• Maintain current nursing knowledge, BLS certification, and required continuing education units (CEUs) for relicensure.
• Articulate and demonstrate commitment to the philosophy, values, mission, and vision of the organization.

Requirements

• Graduate from a state-accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• For specialty-area positions, prior employment experience in the appropriate clinical setting is preferred.
