Pay

$34.50 - $45.00 / hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location. This position includes guaranteed pay for 64 hours per pay period.

Schedule

Full-time | 64 hours/pay period | 7 Days On 7 Days Off | 4:30pm to 8:00am

About the role

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll provide compassionate end-of-life care to individuals and their families—offering skilled support, symptom management, and peace of mind when it matters most. With a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule, you’ll triage calls and provide in-home visits. This full-time salaried role is built for someone who thrives in autonomy, brings clinical expertise to the forefront, and has a deep calling to make meaningful connections during life’s most tender moments.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Compassionate Clinical Care
    • Conduct skilled assessments and provide routine, PRN, admission, discharge, and death visits
    • Deliver hospice care that honors everyone’s physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs
  • Provide Communication and Support
    • Partner with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow a comprehensive care plan
    • Educate families on what to expect, pain management, and comfort measures
  • Lead with Accountability
    • Prioritize calls and visits with urgency
    • Ensure documentation is completed accurately and promptly, often at the point of care
  • Actively Collaborate
    • Maintain strong communication with the entire team: manager, physicians, social workers, aides, chaplains, and referral sources
  • Support The Whole Person
    • Provide clinical insight and emotional support to families before and after the patient’s death
    • Participate in bereavement planning as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
  • Valid driver’s license and insured personal vehicle
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and time-management skills
  • Willingness to travel to client homes and respond to patient needs during on-call hours
  • Ability to pass state-mandated background checks
  • Physical capability to perform all essential job functions
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with clients, staff, and families
