About the role
Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, serving as the region’s only Level 1 Trauma center, Magnet-designated, and an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. CMC also serves as one of North Carolina’s five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties.
Responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Skills
Our team works very closely with our emergency room partners, hospitalists, consulting psychiatric liaison providers, as well as our Behavioral Health Patient Placement partners to ensure our vulnerable population is quickly transitioned to a facility that offers specific services to meet their individual needs.

Schedule
Dayshift, 36hr/week, every 3rd weekend, some holidays as required
