Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health

About the role

Cottonwood Springs is a 108-bed behavioral health hospital that offers exceptional care to the Olathe community. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) who is responsible for supporting the needs of the department with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings according to policies
• Oversee and supervise the shift
• Demonstrate leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc.
• Oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all members of the team
• Monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician
• RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration
• RN will consistently use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients
• Deliver quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies
• Aids/performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree is required
• Licenses: Current RN license as required by state regulations
• Certifications: CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire

Schedule

• 1st Shift 7a - 7p
• Rotating weekends
