Internal 13-week assignment position at $55 per hour.

About the role

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and providing patient care, interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Access and coordinate community resources for patients.
• Perform related duties as assigned, including serving as Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates.
• Current BLS certification (AHA approved within 90 days of employment).
• Evidence of ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment (AHA approved).
• Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.

Qualifications

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
