About the Role

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and providing patient care, interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform related duties such as Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, including interdisciplinary planning.
• Conduct discharge planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Access community resources for patient support.
• Perform Charge Nurse duties if ACLS certified.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if applicable.
• Current BLS certification (AHA approved within 90 days of employment).
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment (AHA approved).
• Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.

Qualifications

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
