Job Summary
As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
About the Role
20 bed unit serves patients needing rehabilitation, post stroke, traumatic brain injury or other neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and modify patient care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing treatments.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Conduct rounds and participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Less than 1 year of experience
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse, Registered to practice in Maryland
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
Qualifications
- Current Maryland RN license
- BLS Certification
