About the role
Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Resource Oncology Care Unit (ROCU) Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of either ICU or ED experience.
Responsibilities
- Floater role between MRI, ROCU (Recovery and Observation Care Unit for IR patients), Pet Floro, CT and IV Cubby
- First responder for stat or rapid calls, access ports, monitor pacemakers, etc.
- Cardiac stress perfusion studies on adults and children
- Stress testing in the PET department
- Viability studies in PET to test for hibernating myocardium
- Brain mapping/stress with Diamox or adenosine
- Sarcoid studies in PET using heparin
- Monitor mapping patients after procedures in Interventional Radiology
- Coronary CTAs utilizing metoprolol IV, diltiazem IV and nitroglycerin
- Help thyroid cancer patients with prepping for iodine therapies and testing
- Teach the nuclear medicine students the patient care curriculum
Requirements
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- Active RN license
- Graduate of an approved discipline program

Pay
The pay for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The person in this position will work three 12-hour shifts per week for a total of 36 hours from 6:30p - 7:00a. There are 3-4 weekend shifts and 3-4 on-call shifts in a 6-week scheduling period.
