The Registered Nurse Pulmonary Stepdown provides high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers, focusing on pre-operative and post-operative nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts
• Perform procedures as ordered
• Document care thoroughly
• Administer medications and monitor responses
• Serve as a patient advocate to enhance the patient experience
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical care
• Support a safe, compassionate environment focused on quality care and patient satisfaction

Qualifications

• At least one year of RN experience
• Associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
• Valid BLS certification (mandatory)
• Specialty certification (preferred)
