About the Role

The Registered Nurse Pulmonary Stepdown provides high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, documenting, and administering treatments during pre- and post-operative phases. They collaborate with medical providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes and serve as patient advocates to enhance the care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and perform ordered procedures.
• Document care thoroughly and administer medications.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and medications.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Requirements

• One year of RN experience.
• Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
• Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification (mandatory).
• National specialty certification (preferred).
