About the Role
Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Medicine Unit, caring for higher acuity patients.
Responsibilities
- Develops and evaluates individualized care plans.
- Assesses patient health data and communicates with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provides patient education tailored to cultural and learning needs.
- Supports professional development of colleagues.
- Contributes to quality improvement and research activities.
- Assists with technical procedures like injections, venipuncture, drug administration, and IV management.
- Monitors wound, ostomy, and skin care treatments when skilled.
- Ensures HIPAA compliance.
- Assists with patient transport as needed.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license.
- Associate degree or higher in nursing.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
Qualifications
Preferred experience in inpatient nursing and a bachelor's degree in nursing.
