Registered Nurse - Pulmonary Medicine Unit - Days

Role: Registered Nurse in Pulmonary Medicine Unit, providing care for higher acuity patients. Responsibilities Develop, evaluate, and revise individualized care plans to achieve patient outcomes.Assess patient health data, communicate care plans with patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.Provide education tailored to patient cultural backgrounds, learning styles, and barriers, including disease management and emergency care.Support professional development of colleagues, share knowledge, and delegate tasks as needed.Offer psychological support and assist technical staff with procedures such as injections, venipuncture, and IV management.Participate in performance improvement, research, and wound/ostomy/skin care monitoring if skilled.Ensure compliance with HIPAA and assist with patient transport when necessary. Qualifications Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Baccalaureate preferred.Current Illinois RN license.ACLS and BLS certifications.Experience in inpatient nursing is highly preferred.
